Getting there

The Colonnaded Street is located within the Petra Archaeological Park. Access is via the Siq, the famous narrow gorge that leads into Petra. After exiting the Siq, you will immediately find yourself at the beginning of the Colonnaded Street. Entry to Petra requires a ticket purchased at the Visitor Centre outside the Siq.

The Colonnaded Street provides access to many of Petra's key monuments. Immediately surrounding and accessible from the street are the Great Temple complex, the Qasr al-Bint, the Church of Petra with its well-preserved mosaics, and the Temenos Gate. The path also leads towards the Royal Tombs and the Museum further into the ancient city.
